How Long Do Foggers Last? Battery, Puffs and Boost by Device

Battery size, e-liquid and rated puffs for every Foger device we sell, with plain arithmetic on how many days a fogger lasts.

Short answer

A Foger Switch Pro pod holds 15 mL and is rated for up to 30,000 puffs on Normal or 18,000 on Boost. The Bit 35K holds 21 mL and is rated for 35,000 Normal or 25,000 Boost. Both recharge over USB Type-C, so the e-liquid is the hard limit. At 2 mL a day, a pod lasts about 7.5 days and a Bit about 10.5 days.

This table is the short answer to most battery questions about foggers. Every Foger device we sell runs on a rechargeable cell, so the battery is something you top up, not something you use up. The e-liquid is different. Once the 15 mL in a Switch Pro pod or the 21 mL in a Bit 35K is gone, that pod or that Bit is finished, no matter how full the battery is.

The puff columns are the manufacturer's lab ratings. Foger rates them with a fixed, short draw. Your own total depends on how long each pull lasts and which mode you leave the fogger on, so treat the numbers as a ceiling for comparison, not a promise. We don't publish our own puff tests, and nobody can honestly give you a fixed "real" figure for your habits.

The kit row and the pod-alone row share the same pod. The difference is the 850 mAh power bank. With the bank attached, the pod has 1,050 mAh to draw on and gets recharged while docked. Without it, the pod runs on its own 200 mAh cell. If you want to see these devices next to prices and stock, the full foggers lineup on our homepage puts all three in one live table.

How Long Do Foggers Last at 1, 2 or 3 mL a Day?

E-liquid used per daySwitch Pro pod (15 mL)Bit 35K (21 mL)
1 mL a day15 days21 days
2 mL a day7.5 days10.5 days
3 mL a day5 days7 days

This is plain division: tank size divided by the amount of liquid you go through each day. It is the most honest way to answer how long a fogger lasts, because liquid is the one part that does not come back after a charge. We don't attach labels like "light" or "heavy" to the rows. Pick the row that matches what you notice in your own week.

If you don't know your daily use in mL, track one pod. Note the date you start a Switch Pro pod and the date it tastes burnt. Divide 15 by the number of days and you have your rate. Do the same with a Bit 35K and divide 21 by the days. After one device you can read the table above for every later purchase.

Rated puffs per mL, worked out from Foger's numbers

You can also turn the ratings into puffs per mL. A Switch Pro pod rated for 30,000 Normal puffs on 15 mL works out to 2,000 rated puffs per mL. On Boost, 18,000 over 15 mL is 1,200 per mL. The Bit 35K rated for 35,000 Normal puffs on 21 mL is about 1,667 per mL, and 25,000 Boost puffs on 21 mL is about 1,190 per mL. These are ratios of lab ratings, not measurements of your use. They are useful for one thing: showing that Boost draws more liquid per puff on both foggers.

If you are budgeting rather than counting days, the cost per puff page turns the same ratings into a price per 1,000 rated puffs for each device, using live store prices.

Foger Normal vs Boost: Puff Ratings for Each Mode

Both Foger devices we carry have two output modes, Normal and Boost. Boost delivers a bigger, warmer hit, and it uses the e-liquid and the battery faster. That is why every rating drops when you switch.

DeviceNormal ratingBoost ratingBoost as a share of Normal
Switch Pro pod (15 mL)Up to 30,000Up to 18,00060%
Bit 35K (21 mL)Up to 35,000Up to 25,000About 71%

On a Switch Pro pod, running only on Boost gives you about 60% of the rated Normal puffs. On a Bit 35K it is about 71%. Most people mix the two, so their total lands somewhere between the two ratings. The more time you spend on Boost, the closer you get to the lower number, and the sooner you will need to charge.

How to tell if foggers are on Boost

On the Bit 35K, look at the curved screen. When Boost is on, the screen shows a Bitcoin icon. When the icon is not there, you are on Normal. On the Switch Pro kit, the OLED screen shows the active mode, so a glance at the display tells you which one you are on. On the Switch Pro you change modes with the device button. If you mainly care about getting the most from each pod, leave the fogger on Normal and use Boost when you want it, not by default.

For a walk-through of what the button, airflow and coil are doing inside, see how do foggers work, which covers the parts device by device.

Fogger Battery or Pod: Which Runs Out First?

In a single session the battery runs down first on all three. Across the life of the device, the e-liquid runs out first, because you can recharge a battery and you cannot refill a Foger pod or a Bit 35K. That is the whole answer, but the details differ by device.

Switch Pro pod on the power bank

With the pod docked, the 850 mAh power bank recharges the pod's 200 mAh cell while you use it. You charge the bank with a USB Type-C cable when its level drops. As long as you keep the bank charged, the 15 mL of liquid sets the end of the pod. When the pod is used up, you pull it off the magnetic dock and snap a new one on. The power bank keeps going. This is why buying foggers with a battery once and then adding pods is the usual pattern.

How long do foggers last without the battery?

A Switch Pro pod does work without the power bank. It is draw-activated and has its own 200 mAh cell. But 200 mAh is a little under a fifth of the 1,050 mAh you get with the bank attached, so the pod lasts far less per charge on its own. The liquid in the pod is the same 15 mL and the puff rating is the same, but you will be docking it much more often to recharge. We don't give a number of puffs per charge for the pod alone, because Foger doesn't publish one.

Bit 35K

The Bit 35K is one piece. The 850 mAh battery and the 21 mL tank are built together. You recharge it over USB Type-C, and when the liquid is gone, the whole device is done. The transparent tank window lets you see the level before that happens.

Do Foggers Come With a Battery, or Just the Pod?

It depends which product you buy. This is the question that causes the most confusion in orders, so here is a direct breakdown.

ProductWhat is in the boxBattery includedPrice
Switch Pro 30K Kit850 mAh magnetic power bank + one pre-filled podYes, the power bank, plus the pod's own 200 mAh cell$22.99
Switch Pro 30K podOne pre-filled pod, dock not includedOnly the 200 mAh cell inside the pod$16.99
Switch Pro Replacement BatteryOne 1200 mAh base, no podYes, it is the battery$12.00
Bit 35KOne all-in-one deviceYes, 850 mAh built in$21.99

The kit comes with the battery. The replacement pods do not come with the power bank, and that is on purpose: you buy the bank once and reuse it. Right now the power bank adds $6.00 to the price of a single pod, which is the gap between the kit and pod prices. If you already own a Switch Pro power bank, the pods are all you need.

The Bit 35K does not use pods or a separate battery at all. It is a one-piece device with the battery inside. The pods do not fit it, and it does not fit the Switch Pro bank.

One more point: Foger also makes a battery-only Switch Pro unit, and we sell it. The Switch Pro battery is a spare 1200 mAh base with no pod, larger than the 850 mAh bank in the kit. It takes the 5% pods and the 0% Switch Pro pod. If you need a base and a pod together, see the fogger battery and pod listing for the kit's flavors and live stock.

How to Charge Foggers: USB-C on the Kit and the Bit 35K

Every Foger device we carry charges over USB Type-C. There is no special foggers vape charger to buy. A standard USB-C cable and a standard USB wall adapter or computer port will do.

  1. Switch Pro kit: plug the USB-C cable into the power bank. Leave the pod docked if you want it topped up too, because the bank recharges the docked pod.
  2. Switch Pro pod alone: snap it onto the power bank. The pod charges from the bank.
  3. Bit 35K: plug the USB-C cable straight into the device. It has overcharge and short-circuit protection built in.

Watch the battery reading on the screen while it charges. Both the Switch Pro and the Bit 35K show battery level on their OLED displays. We don't quote a charge time in minutes, because it depends on your cable, adapter and how empty the battery was.

General charging care

  • Use a standard USB-C cable and adapter in good condition. Don't use a cable with exposed wire or a damaged plug.
  • Charge on a hard, flat surface. Don't charge overnight on a bed, couch or pillow.
  • If the device gets hot while charging, unplug it and stop using it.
  • Keep it dry. Don't charge a fogger that has been in water.

These are common practices for any rechargeable device, not claims about the product. If a device arrives damaged or won't charge from new, report it to us with your order number and a photo or video within 3 days of delivery, as the returns policy explains.

Is My Fogger Empty or Does It Just Need a Charge?

A fogger that stops working usually has one of two problems: the battery is flat, or the liquid is gone. They feel different, and the fix is different.

What you noticeLikely causeWhat to do
No vapor, screen shows a low or empty batteryBattery needs a chargeCharge over USB Type-C (Bit 35K or power bank) or dock the pod
Burnt or harsh taste, even after chargingE-liquid is used upReplace the pod (Switch Pro) or retire the device (Bit 35K)
Flavor getting weaker over a few daysPod or tank is close to emptyCheck the Bit 35K tank window; plan a new pod for the Switch Pro
Pod alone dies quicklyRunning on the 200 mAh pod cellDock it on the power bank

The burnt taste is the clear sign. It happens when the coil heats with too little liquid around it. Charging won't fix it, and continuing to puff on a dry pod will only taste worse. On the Bit 35K, the transparent tank window lets you see the level before you get there. On the Switch Pro, the screen shows battery and puff count, so if the battery reads healthy and the taste has turned, the pod is done.

The screen's puff counter is helpful, but it counts puffs, not mL. Use it with the days table above, not as a fuel gauge.

Planning Foger Pods and Bits Around Your Battery Life

Once you know your daily use, planning is simple. Say you go through about 2 mL a day. A Switch Pro pod covers about a week, so four pods cover about a month. A Bit 35K covers about ten days, so three cover about a month. Swap in your own number from the days table.

Switch Pro users who rotate flavors often keep two or three replacement foger pods on hand, so a used-up pod never leaves them waiting. Because the power bank is reusable, each extra pod costs $16.99 rather than the kit price. The pod list shows 92 flavors, with 69 in stock right now.

Bit 35K buyers get more liquid per unit and no separate parts. The listing for the Bit 35K shows 30 flavors with live stock. If you can't decide between the two systems, picking a fogger walks through the choice by use case, and the Foger flavors page shows which device carries which taste. For the nicotine side of the label, every device here is 5% salt nic; nicotine in foggers covers the mg per pod and per Bit.

Foggers Battery Life FAQ

How many puffs do foggers have?

Foger rates the Switch Pro 30K pod at up to 30,000 puffs on Normal and 18,000 on Boost from 15 mL. The Bit 35K is rated at up to 35,000 on Normal and 25,000 on Boost from 21 mL. These are lab ratings with a short, fixed draw, so your own total depends on draw length and how much you use Boost.

How long do foggers last without the battery?

A Switch Pro pod works without the power bank, but it runs on its own 200 mAh cell instead of 1,050 mAh combined, so it lasts far less per charge. The liquid and the puff rating stay the same. You will just dock it on the power bank much more often to recharge it.

How long does a foger vape last?

It comes down to e-liquid. A 15 mL Switch Pro pod lasts 15 days at 1 mL a day, 7.5 days at 2 mL and 5 days at 3 mL. A 21 mL Bit 35K lasts 21, 10.5 and 7 days at the same rates. The battery recharges, so it does not set the limit.

Is there a special foggers vape charger?

No. The Switch Pro power bank and the Bit 35K both charge with a standard USB Type-C cable and a standard USB adapter or computer port. The power bank also recharges the Switch Pro pod while it is docked. Charge on a hard surface and unplug the device if it gets hot.

How do you tell if foggers are on Boost?

On the Bit 35K, a Bitcoin icon appears on the screen when Boost is on, and disappears on Normal. On the Switch Pro kit, the OLED screen shows the active mode. You switch modes on the Switch Pro with the device button. Boost uses liquid and battery faster than Normal.
