Every figure above comes from Foger's spec sheet for the Switch Pro 30K, the two-piece fogger in the Foger range. The puff ratings are the manufacturer's lab numbers. How many puffs you actually get depends on how long you draw and how much time you spend on Boost, so treat 30,000 as a ceiling, not a promise.

What Are Foggers With a Battery?

"Foggers with a battery" is how most people describe the Switch Pro kit, because the fogger is two parts that snap together. The pod holds the e-liquid, the coil and a small 200 mAh cell. The power bank is the larger 850 mAh piece with the USB Type-C port. Together they give the fogger 1,050 mAh, and the kit's smart OLED screen reads out battery, puff count and mode.

A fogger pod can fire by itself, since it has its own battery and is draw-activated. On its own, though, that small cell runs down far faster than the e-liquid does. The power bank is what keeps the pod topped up between sessions, which is why foggers sold as a kit outlast a loose pod used alone.

That is the main difference between this kit and a one-piece fogger like the Bit 35K. The Bit keeps battery, tank and screen in one sealed body, so when the e-liquid is gone the whole device is done. With the Switch Pro, only the pod is used up. The battery stays with you.

Is the kit a disposable?

What Comes in the Foger Switch Pro 30K Kit Box

One kit order gets you two items:

• The Switch Pro power bank. 850 mAh, magnetic, with a USB Type-C charging port. This is the part of the foggers kit you keep.
• One Switch Pro pod in the flavor you pick. 15 mL of 5% salt nicotine e-liquid, a 1.0Ω dual mesh coil and a built-in 200 mAh battery, rated up to 30,000 Normal puffs.

The flavor buttons above the description choose the pod that ships in the box. You get one pod per kit, not a sampler. If you want a second or third flavor from day one, add Switch Pro pods to the same order rather than a second kit, because each extra kit adds another power bank you probably don't need.

The pod snaps onto the top of the power bank with magnets. There is nothing to screw in and no fill port to open. Pull the old pod off and snap the new one on.

How Does the Switch Pro Power Bank Charge the Pod?

The power bank charges over USB Type-C. When a pod is snapped on, the bank also recharges the pod's own 200 mAh battery. So the routine is simple: keep the pod docked, and charge the power bank when the kit's OLED screen shows low battery.

1. Leave the pod on the power bank between sessions. Docked, it draws from the bank's 850 mAh.
2. Plug the power bank into a USB Type-C charger when the OLED screen shows low battery.
3. Swap the pod when the e-liquid is empty, not when the battery is low. A low battery is fixed by charging; an empty pod is not.

Normal vs Boost on the kit

The device button switches between Normal and Boost. Normal is the mode the 30,000-puff rating is based on. Boost pushes more power through the coil for a heavier hit and is rated at 18,000 puffs, because it uses e-liquid and battery faster. The screen shows which mode you are in, and the adjustable airflow lets you tighten or loosen the draw in either mode.

Should You Buy the Foggers Kit or Just the Pods?

Buy the foggers kit once. After that, buy Foger pods. Here is the math the store runs on its live prices:

The gap between the kit price and the pod price is $6.00. That is what the power bank costs you, and you only pay it once. Every kit after the first one pays it again for a second power bank, which is why repeat buyers move to replacement foger pods and keep the bank they have.

If you want a spare power bank (for the car, the office, or a partner), or you lost or broke the first one, a spare foggers battery is sold alone at $12.00: a 1200 mAh base with no pod. Kit or Bit 35K?

How many foggers pods to add to a kit order
